Nobody is entitled to another person's company. Yes you can be shallow for certain things but that doesn't mean its wrong or shouldn't be respected, if girls wanna date a guy that has to be 6'2", then people gotta deal with it cause nobody can (or should) be forced to be with anybody they don't want to. We have the right to define out circles as adults.

Why not let them eat in the car ONLY if they pick up their OWN trash and leftovers when they’re done? Easy AND you are teaching them to clean up after themselves on a smaller basis!

Back when my kids were little, I started out with no food in the car. They never asked for it, when we would stop for fast food we ate there or waited until we got home. When they got enough, I would let them have food, but they had to take their trash out themselves.

Try soft scrub with bleach, rub on the whole white stone, leave for a bit, and then scrub off

That is SUCH A GOOD IDEA to use the car wash vacuums for the baking soda. I don’t want to mess my own vacuum, so I always skip the baking soda even though I know it would help so much! 👃

Pretty much Everytime I get out of the car I grab everything. Which is usually very little because I rarely leave stuff in there. I vacuum 1-2 times a week with my handheld but it’s not that great but it’s also not usually that dirty either. I wipe down 1-4 times a month depending on the season. I’m so not bragging but I just got so tired of doing power cleaning (that only stayed clean for a few days) that I thought I’d rather just take a few minutes each week and keep it clean. The VERY weird trick is that AFTER you do one of these super deep cleans, the next day you need to take anything out, do a quick wipe down, and do a quick vacuum. Then the next day, repeat. Do this for a few days. And literally watch your car stay clean, I’m not even being a smart ass. But it’s far easier to clean a clean car 😅 And also, I realized (only after I started cleaning it almost daily) that even with all of my efforts sometimes my car still looks messy. Especially in the winter with dead grass and dirt everywhere. But with consistently vacuuming on Mondays and most Fridays it never feels out of control or embarrassing.

How did you find a bestie willing to put in equal effort into your friendship?

I always allowed food in the car (because… me!!) I just cleaned it out at least once a week and then took it to the car wash so they could vacuum and wash it. Then I would get it detailed twice a year. I can’t stand a dirty car - and I’m not about to make my life miserable! 😂😂😂 You did a great job of cleaning out the car!

Super off topic, but please put dish washing pods in the basin and not the little door. The disolvable film on them cabt fully break down in there and will gunk up your machine.

We eat in the car-but i clean out the trash every time since we live in bear country! Several of our neighbors have had their car broken into from bears 😅 we also go to the car wash once a week to vacuum, though I am a SAHM with one kid. If I had more on my plate, I know it would be more difficult to upkeep!

Man I don't feel bad now that I let my kids snack in the car and that it looks similar to yours. Thanks for that makes me feel like we are all human.

There’s a place for everything. In Japan, it’s considered disrespectful to walk and eat. I don’t believe that we need “snacks” kids should have a proper meal sitting on a table just like adults. We live in a day and age that it became normalized to eat something quickly-it’s a self neglect. I have done it more than I can count, but it still isn’t proper. 😅

i think back on when i was a kid and we’d have this no-food rule in our bedrooms and in the car, like you said it lasted about a month each time😭 always great to reset and set routines to try and keep up the cleanliness, but it’s definitely like any routine where you be as good as possible at the beginning so you can allow for wiggle room/ change in plans as they come!! you’re doing amazing 😇

Try putting a trashcan in the garage and try take to take the trash out everytime you leave the car . At minimum clean your car weekly like when you are putting gas in it I had a trashy car but simply removing the trash everytime I leave the car is game changing. Even when I am going to the store I take the trash with me
